A Highland Wedding

IMG_2773.jpg

It may have been mentioned once or twice that I got married this year and what a wedding it was!

I’m not going to deny it was pretty stressful as we did a lot of DIY, and when I say we I really mean me… he helped by still wanting to marry me after i’d gone all Bridezilla, or Weddy Kruger as he dubbed me.

We were married and held our reception in Nethy Bridge Village Hall, near Aviemore - it’s beautiful up there. We spent the day with a bunch of our nearest and dearest and felt so much love in one room, it was completely overwhelming, i had to try not to cry on a number of occasions but it was the best feeling ever. And of course, I got to marry my best friend and my love. Of course it didn’t all go to plan, there were a number of minor mishaps but our friends and families rallied round and helped us create something truly special, we really can’t thank them enough. Being the Scottish Highlands and October it also rained, a lot… so inevitably my dress ended up pretty minging but it was worth it for some of these shots though…

With thanks to the following suppliers (i’m still adding to this so check back later!)

Vanilla Ink - Scott Made our unique rings. He’s a genius and you should talk to him about your rings.

Give Good Face - Emma created some custom temporary tattoos for us which were a huge hit!

Susan Castillo - Our beautiful 3 tier wedding cake was made by my talented friend, have a look at her photos!

Lena and Pat Our Photographers - These guys were fab! We can’t recommend them highly enough

Florist - Elaine took inspiration from a few photos i sent her over Facebook and made such a beautiful bouquet alogn with the buttonholes. If you’re having a highland wedding Elaine’s yer woman!

The Anne Dickson Band - kept the floor bouncing all night! Brilliant fun.

Also thanks to Ronnie and Chris Dunn who kept us fed and watered and Nicola, we really couldn’t have done it without you.
