Wedding FAQs
Your wedding questions, answered - let's make this easy!
Planning a wedding is a bit like juggling frogs. There are a lot of arms and legs involved and you really don't want to drop any of them! As your wedding supplier, my job is to make this as smooth as possible for you. So grab a cuppa, have a read through these frequently asked questions, and hopefully a few things will click into place.
GETTING STARTED
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as you can! Popular wedding dates fill up quickly and most couples book anywhere between 6 and 12 months ahead. That said, if your date is sooner than that, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'll always do my best to help if I have availability. For a little more info on timescales please check out this page.
Do I need to have all the ideas ready?
Not at all, that's what I'm here for! I can work from a list of things you love, photos you've saved, or even just a vague idea floating around in your head. You don't need to arrive with a fully formed vision, though if you do have one I'm always delighted to hear it. Trust the process and trust me.
Can you match my wedding colour scheme or theme?
Absolutely! Everything is made to order, which means your colours, wording, and style are completely bespoke to you. The more detail you can share about your vision the better. Mood boards, Pinterest links, and colour swatches are all very welcome.
I love something I've seen on your social media. Can I have something similar?
Yes! My past work is a great starting point and I'm always happy to create something in a similar style. Just bear in mind that every piece is made uniquely for each couple, so while I can draw inspiration from previous work, your order will always be entirely your own.
THE CREATIVE PROCESS
Do you offer samples before I commit to a full order?
In some cases, yes. Get in touch and let me know what you're thinking and I'll let you know whether a sample is possible for your particular order and what that would involve.
How many rounds of changes do I get?
When you book with me I’ll send you a comprehensive document with my terms adn conditions that clearly lays outthe process. Ultimately I want you to be completely happy with your order so I'll always work with you to get things just right. To keep things running smoothly and on schedule, I ask that any changes are consolidated and sent clearly rather than in lots of separate messages. The more detail you give me upfront, the smoother the whole process will be!
Can you include non-English or bilingual wording?
Absolutely, love is universal! Just provide the wording you'd like exactly as you want it to appear, including any accents or special characters, and I'll take care of the rest.
How do you want our info sent over?
For many items i’ll send you a little questionnaire to capture all your information. For things like table plans and placecards I ask for a word document or a spreadsheet that you have spellchecked in advance. In fact I recommend you spellcheck twice, get an extra set of eyes on it too - it’s important to ensure all the names sent to me are spelt correctly though I will always query any obvious typos with you. Consider me your third set of eyes!
LOGISTICS
How long will my order take?
Turnaround times vary depending on the size and complexity of your order, so I'll always give you a clear timeline when I send your quote. As a general rule, the more notice you can give me the better, especially during peak wedding season when my diary fills up fast. My aim is always to have everything ready for collection one week in advance of your wedding. If you need items to be delivered by courier please mention this at the beginning so I can adjust my timeline accordingly to ensure everything arrives with you in advance. Nobody likes a last minute panic!
How and when will I receive my order?
Orders can be collected from me directly, or delivered to you depending on the nature of your order. We'll agree on the best option when we confirm your booking and I'll always make sure everything arrives in plenty of time.
Have you worked at my venue before?
I've had the pleasure of working at some wonderful venues and I'm always happy to discuss your specific location. If I haven't been there before, don't worry. I'll do my homework to make sure everything goes without a hitch on the day.
Can I make changes after I've submitted my information?
Of course! If you need to update or add anything after submitting, just drop me an email with the details. I'd ask that you keep changes as concise as possible as lots of back and forth can get tricky to track and I'd hate to miss something important for your big day.
What if something goes wrong with my order?
I take enormous pride in the quality of my work, but if something isn't right please tell me straight away. I'll always do everything I can to put it right as quickly as possible. Your wedding day matters and I won't leave you in the lurch.
Help, I've forgotten something!
Take a breath, it happens to the best of us! Whether you've forgotten the guest book, realised you need chair tags, or suddenly remembered you have no place cards, just send me an email and we'll get it sorted. No panic needed, I'm here to help.
Still have a question? I love hearing from couples so please don't be shy. Drop me a message and let's start making your day feel a little more magical.
MONEY, MONEY, MONEY
How does pricing work?
Every order is completely bespoke, so pricing depends on the pieces you need, the quantity, and the complexity of the design. Once you send me your list, I'll put together a personalised quote with no obligation. There are no hidden costs. What you see in your quote is what you pay.
What payment methods do you accept?
I prefer payment by bank transfer or cash on collection. Payment by card is possible but subject to card processing fees. Full payment must be made before you collect your order.
What happens if I need to cancel or postpone?
Life happens and I completely understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or move your date, please get in touch as soon as possible so we can work something out. Every situation is different, so I'll always try to be as flexible and fair as I can. Please note that your deposit is non-refundable.
